Important information:
New Environmental Zone in Cologne from 01.01.2008
Dear Guest,
As of 01.01.2008, the City of Cologne as well as some districts of Cologne-Deutz and
Cologne-Mülheim will be declared as environmental zone. The access roads to the Cologne
Fair and the Cologne Arena are not be part of this zone.
And Our Hotel are not in this zone, too.
In this environmental zone, only “clean vehicles“ are allowed to drive. They have to fulfill
certain European emission standards and are equipped with one of the three designated
fine particle stickers.
There are exceptions for craftsmen, residents, special-purpose vehicles and for medically
necessary rides. Tourists, technically non-bound suppliers and businessmen are as
a rule not included in this exception.
If you are coming to Cologne by car, it is advisable to get information on the fine particle
sticker in advance and to acquire it in time. You will find the necessary information under:

Umweltzone in Köln ab 01.01.2008 – „freie Fahrt für saubere Wagen“
Sehr verehrter Gast,
ab dem 01.01.2008 werden die Kölner Innenstadt sowie Teile von Köln-Deutz und Köln-
Mülheim zur Umweltzone erklärt. Die Zufahrten zur Kölner Messe und der KölnArena
liegen außerhalb dieser Zone.
Auch unser Hotel liegt außerhalb dieser Zone!
In dieser Umweltzone dürfen nur „saubere Fahrzeuge“ fahren. Sie erfüllen bestimmte europäische
Abgasnormen und sind mit einer der hierfür vorgesehenen drei Feinstaubplaketten
gekennzeichnet.
Für Handwerker, Anwohner, Spezialfahrzeuge und medizinisch notwendige Fahrten
gibt es Ausnahmeregelungen. Touristen, nicht technisch gebundene Lieferanten oder
Geschäftsleute fallen grundsätzlich nicht unter diese Ausnahmeregelungen.
Wenn Sie mit dem Wagen nach Köln anreisen, empfiehlt es sich, sich frühzeitig über die
Feinstaubplakette zu informieren und diese rechtzeitig zu erwerben. Unter der Internetadresse
