Roma Termini (in Italian, Stazione Termini or Stazione di Roma Termini) is the main train station of Rome. It is named after the ancient Baths of Diocletian (in Latin, thermae), which lie across the street from the main entrance.
The station has regular train services to all major Italian cities as well as daily international services to Paris, Munich, Genève and Basel. With its 29 platforms and over 150 million passengers each year, Roma Termini is one of the largest train stations in Europe.
Termini is also the main hub for public transport inside Rome. Both current Rome Metro lines (A and B) intersect at Termini, and a major bus station is located at Piazza Cinquecento, the square in front of the station. However, the main tram lines of the city cross at Porta Maggiore, some 500 metres east of the station.
On 23 December 2006, the station was dedicated to Pope John Paul II[2], more or less like Rome's main airport at Fiumicino is dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci (taken from Wikipedia)
Rome Termini is an underground station of the Rome Metro. The station was inaugurated on 10 February 1955, as a station on Line B and later became an interchange with Line A. The station is found in Piazza dei Cinquecento, underneath the Termini rail terminal. Together, the two stations form the main public transport hub in the city (taken from Wikipedia).
> Arriving by train. Walk beside the Roma Termini Station and follow the street via Giolitti. At the fourth crossbeam you will reach us at Via Rattazzi 65 (look for benchmark yellow "Hotel Malta"). At the first floor there is the B&B EDYTA
> Both you arrive at Ciampino Airport or Fiumicino Airport, you can reach Termini Station by train, bus or taxi in 30 min. Once at Termini, follow above directions.
> Arriving to Rome by car, look for the G.R.A. (major beltway), then look for exit uscita 24. Drive to the center of the city looking for this sign . You will find signs to Roma Termini railway station, and once you are at the station it will be easy to look for via Giolitti, and via Rattazzi, following the map. You can park in the street or in the ES Parking building which is very close.
Fare una vacanza a Roma non deve costare necessariamente una fortuna. La stazione ferroviaria di Roma Termini costituisce il più importante scalo ferroviario della città di Roma e il maggiore d'Italia per traffico.
Roma Termini è la più trafficata stazione ferroviaria d'Italia e tra le prime tre d'Europa, con circa 800 treni al giorno (tra arrivi e partenze 400.000 passeggeri al giorno) per un totale di circa 150 milioni di viaggiatori all'anno.
A Termini sono presenti servizi ferroviari di tutte le categorie oggi esistenti, dall'AV agli Eurostar, dagli Intercity ai servizi notturni nazionali ed internazionali. Sono inoltre presenti numerosi treni interregionali, regionali e diretti, oltre ai seguenti servizi suburbani denominati FR (Ferrovia Regionale): FR4, FR5, FR6, FR7, FR8.
A Termini vi è anche la linea Leonardo Express che fornisce un collegamento diretto con l'Aeroporto di Roma - Fiumicino.
> Arrivare in treno al B&B. Costeggiare la Stazione Termini seguendo via Giolitti. A pochi minuti giungerete in via Rattazzi, la quarta traversa. Punto di riferimento nonchè di arrivo è l'insegna gialla "Hotel Malta". Al primo piano troverete B&B Edyta
> Sia che arrivate all'aeroporto di Fiumicino che a quello di Ciampino, potete raggiungere la stazione Roma Termini in treno o tassì in 30 minuti. Se prendete il treno, una volta siete a Termini, seguite le indicazioni sopraindicate
> Arrivati a Roma in auto, cercate il G.R.A.. Cercate quindi l'uscita 24. Guidate verso il centro della città. Troverete i segnali per la stazione ferroviaria Termini ed allora sarà facile trovare via Giolitti e la traversa via Rattazzi, seguendo la mappa. Potete parcheggiare nella via o nel parcheggio multipiano che è molto vicino
